Learn PAOT programme in the Central highlands in Vietnam

PAOT (Participatory Action-Oriented Training) was developed by the International Labor Organization (ILO) in the 1980s. It is well known as WISE (Work Improvement in Small Enterprises) for small and medium enterprises, and PAOT has been adopted in many occupational safety and health sectors. WIND (Work Improvement in Neighbourhood Development) is a famous PAOT for farmers,  which was born in the Mekong Delta.

Interactive workshop with coffee supply chain farmers

The Mekong Delta Programme has been held annually as international workshop in learning PAOT in Can Tho City, Mekong Delta since 2000. However, it has changed as online workshops due to COVID-19. This year, the steering committee decided to re-start of this interesting programme in the field of Central Highlands in Vietnam with the theme of WIND, which has been accepted as a safety and health programme for the Central Highlands Coffee Supply Chain.

Participants will learn “PAOT methods” through workshops, and local farmers will create improvement plans. The two-way exchange between participants and local people is a unique feature of this programme.

With emotional landscape and culture

Dr. Ton That Khai, one of the developers of WIND, will be in charge of the entire programme.
